Inauguration of the first ecological supermarket on March 31, 2017 at 3:00 pm
in the city of Marechal Thaumaturgo, Acre Brasil

An indigenous ecological market in the Amazon forest that exchanges plastic and aluminum cans against food.
Indigenous communities are increasingly becoming essential players in protecting the Amazon and are fighting for the legal ownership of their ancestral territories. In addition to the classic outside threats of deforestation, mining, and logging, tons of plastic products are being introduced into even the most remote areas of the Amazon as trade in the towns increases (plastic bottles, aluminum cans, bags, packaging, etc.). Unfortunately, this influx has not been accompanied by any infrastructure for recycling or disposal, resulting in an accumulation of plastic waste that the communities cannot handle.

Recycling
We actively work in actions for recycling. In 2012 we invited the Indian Chief Biraci Brazil and his wife Putany to Europe, who thanked the Europeans for their recycling efforts.
